Just wondering where they are located? I got a dent on the front bumper and I wonder if I upgrade to a custom aftermarket bumper, if it would affect the functionality.

I believe it's really only a radar sensor behind the Toyota emblem in the grille.

Cool, so upgrading the bumper would have no effect?

Not that I know of, but I'm certainly not an expert... :)

The sensor is behind the logo plate on the front grill. It is expensive to replace because supposedly it cannot be removed and if it comes off it has to be replaced... or so I was told... one reason insurance and estimates are more expensive. I.e. if you have to replace the bumper cover, you have to replace the sensor....

that being said... I have rebuilt several toyota parts that were expensive... electronic switches... window motors... relays... for a few cents each... There are some terrific epoxies and glues... but I cannot say for sure if that will work. I have never messed with one of these before.
