After the 10K oil change, filter, and tire rotation, How do your turn off the Maintenance Required Light

The 10K service charge with oil change is $182. They say it needs synthetic Ow20 oil. But could I just use a Groupon and get a regular synthetic oil change for a fraction of that? i know less than nothing about these things. I have a 2012 V. Any ideas? That’s at a dealership? Do you have several you could approach, because that’s pretty steep, for essentially an oil change and tire rotation. See what the parts department is asking per quart of Toyota 0W20 (synth is only way it comes). Probably about $5~6 USD? And the oil filter and drain bolt washer are about $8 and $2. The car takes 4.5 quarts, so the retail supplies cost is about $32~37. Thr labour’s maybe 1/2 hour, for pros. Too: oil change and tire rotation is the “staple” of service departments; the aim is to get you in and then hustle for (dubious) extras. If you resist it’s a good deal. I thought the going rate, at dealerships in the States, was around $60~100. And synth oil does not mean it should cost double. addendum: Oh, one thing, you describe this as “10k service”. What in fact is the miles on the car, cus there ARE extras, at certain 10k services. For example: brake inspection Coolant change Spark plug change
