86960-47011 is the part number I found. Some sites said it only works for the 2012-2015 Prii. Will this work for a 2011 Prius 4 with NAV/Solar Roof/JBL? Do I need a different part number? I saw a video on youtube and I think I can do it myself.
The smart thing to do is to take your vin to a dealer parts department and have them look it up. There are two concerns: Which of three versions do you need plus has the part been updated with a better design and new part number? Mine was updated. These were my choices. All were updated to reduce the chance of preamp failure.
I called the Toyota dealership and they gave me this part number. 86760-47021 I don't think this is correct because it doesn't look anything like the antenna base on my car. https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-antenna-8676047021
If you gave the dealer your vin, that part number its probably right. It shows correctly on the diagram. The illustrators are crude at best on Toyota parts. The price is in the ballpark. In any case I would sent a message to mcgeorge with your vin and ask them. I know there are three versions per year and there was an updated part as well. However in 2012 there was an updated head unit with Entune and built in nav, so my part is most likely different.
Well I actually took a photo of the manufacturer model or part number on the underside of the base. I guess the is the number for the manufacturer, not Toyota. Does anyone have any idea if there's a way to translate this to the Toyota part number? The number is V3-07543C I have attached a photo below.
I ordered the part here. https://www.oempartstoyou.com/oem-parts/toyota-antenna-8676047021 It was about $112 cheaper than the stealership. I really hope this is actually the correct oem part. I really hope trying to save some money doesn't come back to bite me.
There is no way to translate the plastic mold stamp to a finished part that is actually multiple parts for every year because of changes in the electronics depending on your options. Try asking another dealer or McGeorge online if you don't believe your dealer. I would believe your dealer if he referenced your vin. Remember an update design is also available.
