I bought the prius chat one and it is very shinny and a little large. I do not stuff it behind the rear view mirror and that makes it easier to install and remove. They just need to cut the mirror area out larger and make the over height a liitle shorter. Good news is that it does the job very well.
Yes, the HeatShield is reflective: PriusChat Shop : Toyota Prius HeatShield Sunshade - Front - $30.00 [imglink]http://spydermagazine.com/files/priusext.jpg[/imglink] You can see its reflective nature better in these photos of the rear window and side windows HeatShields: [imglink]http://priuschat.com/shop/images/rear_window.jpg[/imglink] [imglink]http://priuschat.com/shop/images/side_windows.jpeg[/imglink]
I have the Covercraft sun shade for two of my cars, and love them! They seem to be very similar, if not identical, to that Ultraviolet Heat Shield from Autosport. It's thick and durable, yet easy to fold, and the fit is perfect. I highly recommend them, and in my opinion, they are well worth the extra money. Covercraft has a website, or you can go to one of their online vendors, like Autoanything.com.
