I am the second owner and have owned this car since May of 2021.
This car was originally a commuter car and developed an engine problem. Upon disassembly of the cylinder head and engine, found that the cylinder walls were scored on cylinder #2. Ordered a replacement engine that was taken from a low mileage Japanese Lexus CT200h; both vehicles share the same engine (2ZR-FXE).


Here are the major repairs that I have personally had done to this engine before installing it into the vehicle:
1. All new seals installed (listed):
- Front crank
- Oil filter housing
- Thermostat
- Rear main
- Valve cover
- Oil control valve
- Timing cover seals related to the oil pump inlet and outlet
- Intake manifold
- Throttle body
- EGR inlet/ouotlet
2. New Denso spark plugs installed
3. Timing cover resealed using Toyota factory FIPG 103 sealant (00295-00103)
4. Mobil 1 oil change with BG MOA additive
5. BG 44k fuel additive
6. Drain and fill coolant with factory Toyota "Super Long Life" coolant
7. New air filter
8. New injector cushions and o-rings


So far I have been able to average about +44mpg on the freeway and roughly +33mpg in the city with this new engine installed. Car has passed California smog, and there are no pending codes present (engine or otherwise).

The previous owner took good care of this vehicle. Interior leather is in very good shape, showing minimal wear or signs of age.

The interior is missing the rear passenger storage container and rear passenger seat headrest.

Please note:
All electronics: radio, navigation, window motors, sunroof, door lock actuators, cruise control, etc. work with no problems.
No mechanical issues
No hybrid battery issues
No oil or coolant leaks
AC blows very cold and has no issues
Replaced cabin air filter
Replaced passenger front wheel bearing assembly (starting to make noise).


I had someone that was interested in the car, and she even had the car inspected by another shop in San Diego. But she ended up backing out of the purchase and chose to fix her car instead. The pre-purchase inspection report can be provided upon request.
