I do addition by a deletion on my current 2021 PP Ltd. I just deleted Softex seats I hate so much. To Do list on my third Prius Prime | Page 2 | PriusChat.

I plan to delete the piano-black interior by wrapping. If I could, I would delete the 11.6" display, but there is no good solution for that, so for now, I have it just turned off. I may try deleting the VPNS sound (aka spaceship sound) later, but this is not a problem on the 2018 PP.

 

Spare tire seems popular depending on where you roam.

Just reminded me of a Prius I saw earlier this week. An older white one that actually had a set of bull horns on the front of the hood.

 

not add value to the car but I replace all the interior light to LED.

I also have 12v pump, 12v impact wrench and an tire plug kit in case I get the flat tire.

 

If my wheel lug nuts were so tight that I needed an impact wrench to remove them I would loosen them at home first to avoid carrying that tool. I removed the wheel covers and bought a set of covers for the center part as I thought the plastic wheel covers were not attractive.

 

Adding LED strip lighting to the trunk is a nice addition since the stock trunk bulb is pretty dim.
And kitting up a tire patch kit as others have noted is a good idea as well.

 

I bought different rims, black ones like the ones on our WRX. I've gotten 76 mpg without plugging the car in, so I don't think changing then affected the gas mileage. We also keep a full size spare in the car.

 

With wheels, it depends on their weight whether it hurts fuel economy. Most wheels that are a larger diameter ones tend to be heavier than the factory. Increased weight at the wheel is the worst place to add it in terms of efficiency. The wider tires on such also don't help.

 

first thing to do is tinting the windows if not done so already, makes a big difference in cabin temperature and get a full front windshield tint if your city allows.
changed all interior, trunk, and reverse lights to leds since it looks nicer.
i also got a reusable k&n cabin air filter and just wash and refresh it whenever i do my oil change.

 

Jonathan, there's not much to add except to suit your needs. We have rubber floor mats to catch out mess. I chose to put on run-flat tires. Some carry a compact or full sized spare; be sure to strap it down securely to avoid having an unguided missile inside the car if someone hits you. The spare off a Corolla fits. The Bridgestone DriveGuard 3rd generation run flats are substantially heavier than the original low rolling resistance tires, but I don't notice a significant hit to battery endurance nor gas consumption. The DriveGuards are a bit noisier & harsher riding than original, and said to be good for 50 miles at 50 mph deflated...then they're junk. If promptly driven to a tire shop for repair they're likely reusable. The original low rolling resistance Toyos were vary light weight due to the thin casing, and a tiny screw put in a surprisingly large hole.

It's a mixed bag. Given that a tire's total footprint area is about the same for the same weight on it and the same inflation pressure, the wider tire will have a shorter front-back footprint and wider side-side dimension. The means less deformation of the tire than a narrow tire with the longer front-back measurement, so the wider tire will have slightly less rolling resistance. The wider tire will have more air resistance, but that's usually less than the gain from less deformation.

Loosen, then tighten to 76 lbs-ft.

 

One modification here: removed the fugly hubcaps and added center caps to the stock alloy wheels underneath. It makes the car look 100% better, with extremely minimal impact on fuel economy.
