Just bought a used 2013 level 4 Prius that only came with only 1 key Wheres the cheapest place to get a second key ?
if you find out let me know ! I have a 2011 prius with 113000 miles on it I am in Naples Florida and you ?
I bought a spare fob and key from Keyless Entry Remote - Key Fob, Replacement Car Remote & Aftermarket Keyless Entry Auto Remote and used their map to find a recommended programmer affiliate (KeylessRide Nationwide Retail Locations for Replacement Keyless Entry Car Remotes and Key FOB's ). Total cost for me, including programming, was about $200.
I purchased my replacement key fob on ebay for $53 and paid $60 for programming from Pop-a-Lock of West LA, CA.
I traded my 2010 Prius in for the 2013 I keep one of the keys is it possible to just have that key reprogram to work with the 2013 as a backup key ?
reseed ? Bought the 2010 almost exactly one year ago came with 2 keys the car only had one previous owner
Thanks for your help I used your Keylessride link and found this below local place that reprogrammed the spare key I kept from my 2010 trade in for just $49.99 Then i bought a new metal key from them and he cut it for me for $25 total
thanks for the info. In process of doing this myself. Lost all keys to the car, just got a Used Fob to work still need to program the keyless entry part.
Any updates on this since 2015? I lost our one fob to our 2012 Plug-in Advanced and would like to replace it. Any new "best sources"? Also, are both fobs the same? The one I still have is 4-button.
