I checked the battery and its fine. The key fob is not working right. It will work then not work for a day or five. I need to replace it. Can I do it myself or do I need someone to do it for me. Thanks.
Do you have a spare fob? Most cars (new or used) should come with two. Since you said you checked the battery, did you (gently) clean out any dust bunnies or debris from the fob? The circuit board has very delicate connections that may have been damaged to the extent the fob only works intermittently.
is the 12v healthy? you can diy, butyou need tech stream. call some locksmiths for pricing, and compare to dealer
Have you replaced the key fob battery with a new one? Sounds like the one in it is weak. There is a special test for the coin type batteries.
Yes. I have a old jewelry store battery checker and the battery on button setting is good. Its all nice and clean and if I have to I think its 125 to get a new fob from a LS and have it set up.
