Hi Choir, gather round for a quick sermon.

I just changed my Prius’ oil after about 6k miles of mostly highway driving. Emptied the oil catch can the I installed at the last oil change - it collected about 1/2 to 2/3 cup of oil over that time. Very glad to dump that rather than combust it!

Not that you need any more evidence than what’s been shown elsewhere on this forum, but the OCC really is a great addition to the 3rd gen.

    Sitting just above 135k.

I bought it at 129k a few months back and gave it the priuschat works…Egr/cooler cleaning, IM / throttle cleaning (new gaskets), replaced PCV, installed OCC, etc.

I’m in the same boat. I just bought mine yesterday at 129k and come change and although I’m making my list of things to do in the immediate future. While I’m at it I’m going to just swap out the engine coolant as well as inverter coolant instead of pinching hoses.

Great idea. I swapped both coolants before cleaning the EGR…ended up just draining 2 quarts so the system level was below the EGR cooler (thanks for the tip @Mendel Leisk ).
