Hi Everyone. I have noticed that when the headlight stalk is in the auto position, the fog lights turn off when the car is turned off, but the park lights still stay on. Is there a programmable feature that can turn the park lights off as well? My gen 1 plug in was able to turn all lights off when the car is turned off. Thank you.
if you are talking about the (by default) 30 second delay in turning off the lights, there is a setting (on my 2021) to either turn them off immediately or increase how long they stay on. It’s accessible via the Settings on the multimedia (not MID) display. If you can’t find it let me know and I’ll post the exact path through the menus.
Thanks for your reply. I think our Primes are slightly different here in NZ, where I have a feeling our primes are based on the UK model. I have attached pic of my vehicle customizations options through the multimedia. I doint yet have Carista so I cant see if there are any options that can be changed via OBD2
No sure about NZ But in US models, There are DRLs (day time running lights, and I understand not all countries require them) are always on when the handbrake is disengaged. In the US, OEM Fog Lights are paired with the headlights, they only come on when the headlights are on. And turn off when headlights are off. You would have to go aftermarket or do modifications to have fog light independent. Parking Lights (if you are referring to them correctly) is the yellow/amber lights on the side
Thank you. Its so confusing lol. the DRL are in the the lower portion of the front indicators, and the park lights are the 2 innermost LED clusters of each headlight. Odd how different regions have different setups, due to regional regulations I suppose. I think Carista is a pretty good investment, so I will look into that to see what options I can modify. Thanks for the replies
