I have the 2012 gen III C i believe and i notices today 2-4 in of water in each taillight. I bought the car from the dealer just under a year ago, and i have never been hit or disassembled the taillights. I called the dealer to see if it is covered under warranty and they said it is not. How much will it cost to fix? I dont really understand how it isnt covered. Is it a complicated process i would like to DIY.
turn it upside down and shake it that should do the trick honestly though if you look on youtube there might be a video of how to assemble in disassemble the taillight
Quick search shows you are not the first to have this problem. Escalate this complaint and it might help, and keep any receipts. Below is just one link to remove so you can drain it...and check the seal/s while it's off. Who engineered this thing anyway? I smell a TSB.
what i have done for now is drilled holes in the bottom, the oem replacement is only 109 according to the repair shop i go to so i may just be replacing them. Its been raining so i havent been able to actually take them off and check out the seal yet.
