<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(eagle33199 @ Oct 26 2006, 09:09 AM) </div> Well, did you fill up or are you still going?
He filled up. I'm nearly at 700kms on the last pip (not blinking). Don't think I should push it lol. Although, Presto said I should be able to do 100kms on a blinking pip if I'm under 4.8L/100km, I don't have the guts to haha.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(VABeachPrius @ Oct 24 2006, 08:07 PM) </div> The pips are useless indicators. When I fill up and get a full line of pips I can drive over 100 miles before the first pip vanishes. Then the second pip vanishes after only driving about another 5 miles. The third pip vansihes after about another 20 miles. The remaining pips take longer to vanish. When I'm down to two pips I fill up again because about 10 minutes into the last pip the flashing begins. My MPG is good: 60-62 slow bumper-to-bumper traffice, 52 highway at 70 MPH, and 48 regular city driving.
If the fuel pump is in the tank you are asking for trouble if you run low on gas many times. the fuel pump needs gas to keep it cool and if it overheats many times ,be prepaired to buy an new fuel pump and pay close to $500 labor to put it in.
my best was 658.6 and my last pip flashed for only about 25 miles. i would have pushed it but was unwilling to drive around in circles and needed to get gas more about convenience than anything. but that tank was 2005, never had a good chance to push a tank last summer and now without CANVIEW, much less likely to be able to do it again...oh well.... guess ill have to stick with just the low 6's... what a sacrifice!!
