Hello there, I am noobie so sorry if this question has already been asked. My Prius came with 195/65R/15 and the rims are 15 X 6 1/2 J ET 40 5 x100 bolt pattern. I have another set of tires for winter same size (195/65R/15 ). I am looking for another set of rims for the winter. Are rims 15 X 6 J ok ? If so what would be the correct ET value for 15x 6J ? Thanks in advance
If you want it to "stick out" just as much as the OEM wheel, you would need a +35 offset. But those are not that common in a 15x6.0. The most comment offset is a +45 which are the stock OEM size of the gen2 prius wheels. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
So are the 15x6 +45 ok for the prime? Will they fit? What would the cons? Can the gen2 Prius rims fit the prime? thank you in advance
They will fit 100000% with even more room to spare as the wheel is narrower and more into wheel well. I had the gen2 wheels installed about 4 days after getting my brand new gen4 because of the weight savings and I loved the look. Even with 20mm spacers, there are still no issues in clearance. Last pic is with the 20mm spacers Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Hummm nice but I am referring to fitting the gen 2 rims to a Prius primeā¦ not Prius gen4. I want to be 100 % sure. Sorry for asking again : Can 15 x 6 1/2x ET 35 rims be replaced by 15 x 6 ET 45 rims?
The prime and gen4 have the same wheels..... So yes. The gen2 wheels will also fit. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
