I found it strange that on our new 2021, that the spare is not available (AWD-e) and Im fine with that, yet it comes with a jack? What are you going to use the jack for? I took it out. I have always taken spare out for weight savings/space, as tire issues are not usually an issue where I am. Just seems weird they would include the jack.
According to my owner's manual it's to remove the flat tire if necessary to repair it with the repair kit.
really? Flats can happen anywhere. it might be useful to take most of the weight when filling a flat with the goop pump.
I used goop on my old 2nd gen Prius when hitting a nail and Costco where I have my roadside hazard coverage complained to me that using goop will void the hazard coverage but they let it go that time. That gen had a spare, but not sure what I would do with my awd-e that has no spare and got tire coverage at Costco. Something to note when you have this type of coverage.
