Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me determine what the two wires (blue and purple) do in the attached photo? They run in the wall of the hatch area in the rear on a 2019 Prius Limited (not Prime) over the passenger-side wheel well in a black corrugated plastic tube. I transport rescue dogs in the Prius, and unfortunately in this latest generation they changed the coverings of everything in the back to a cardboard-like material that dogs find to be a great chew toy. My dogs chewed through the cardboard protection over the passenger-side wheel well then chewed through this 3/8" or so black corrugated plastic tube containing a blue and purple wire as shown in the attached photo. Can someone look up to see what this may do? I'm traveling right now (not near a Toyota dealer) so wondering what this is for, and how urgent it may be to repair. Thank you. (I hope they go back to something more durable in the next generation, I purchased the highest end Limited with all the extra safety features and was disappointed at the quality of the materials compared to my previous generation, even though the safety features are terrific.) I’d score crimp connectors, crimp tool, corrugated plastic conduit sheath and electrical tape, repair the breaks. An automobile specialty store should have all that, or somewhere like The Source (electical supply store).

Sorry, no clue as to their function. Do keep all the exposed wire tips protected, isolated from each other and the car body, in the interim.
A photo from a wider angle would be helpful to confirm, but after a glance through the Electrical Wiring Diagram (more info), I think the blue and violet wires go to connector M93, for the purge flow switching valve (also called the fuel vapor containment valve or fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly), part of the evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. If that is, in fact, what the wires are for, then the car can be driven, but the Check Engine warning light (malfunction indicator lamp) may come on, with diagnostic trouble codes P24507E (P2450), Evaporative Emission System Switching Valve Actuator Stuck On, or P24517F (P2451), Evaporative Emission System Switching Valve Actuator Stuck Off. For repair procedures, see Toyota’s Wire Harness Repair Manual (PDF), starting with step 3 on page B-30 (47) or this old Toyota video (from 16:26 to 17:37). Even though the wiring is in the interior, because of the risk of spilled liquid cargo, I’d suggest using self-fusing silicone tape over the splices.
If that interpretation is correct (and the post comes from a well informed source!) and the check engine light comes on, after you repair the wires to restore continuity, the light should go out again after a few drive cycles.
I think it’d be beyond their mandate, to protect the interior from determined dogs; maybe need carrying cages?
