    Curious how they unlocked the car. How far away was the key fob kept in relation to where the vehicle is being parked?
    Stealing the cat would happen only from underneath. Check if the cat is still intake by letting the engine run, does it sound like a tank?
    Before going to the extreme of scraping, see if another member would be interested in it.. @JC91006 isn't that far away from you.

    Don't scrap it, just tow it over to Carmax, they'll give you good money for it. There was a member here that sold their 2005 car to carmax with 250k miles, damaged fenders/doors, faded paint, and stolen catalytic converter. Carmax gave him $700.

    Though local markets vary, Peddle might offer a bit more, assuming it still moves forward and backwards.

    Well I ended up trading it in, didn’t think to ask you guys first, sorry. I’m sure I would have done better getting cash as I figure trade ins are just fudging numbers to make the buyer think they’re getting a better deal. The house always wins. It was a great car and I’m racking the miles up on another Prius now.

    i once had a car broken into, it is a very strange feeling. home is even weirder.
