Since I installed a Sony Bluetooth stereo. I can still use my steering wheel button to turn on AC AUTO and adjust the level from there, but on the screen it just says something like “check connection”.

When I press the audio button it says audio off which is as expected.

Another thing is my trip information doesn’t display properly. It shows my battery being at empty and I can’t see my current MPG

Any body know what’s going on?

The MFD, the OEM stereo and the Gateway ECU communicate with each other via the AVC-LAN. You need to add a 68 ohm resistor on the AVC-LAN pinout (R5-9 & R5-10) of the harness of the OEM stereo as a bus terminal resistor if you removed the OEM stereo. Otherwise, the signal on the AVC-LAN bus may be interfered with the reflection from the end of the bus.

    Thank you! It works :)

After I did this, I got the red triangle and some error codes when going into diagnostics mode, I just unplugged the battery for a bit, plugged it back in, and everything was fine.

    Thanks again

Question, after you replaced the headunit and used the 68ohm resistor...does your backup camera still work?

Please check the color code of the resistor to ensure that the resistance value of the resistor is 68 (blue-gray-black-gold) ohms. According to the photos you posted in other threads, the resistor you bought looks like 6.8 k (blue-gray-red-gold) or 68k (blue-gray-orange-gold) ohms. That's 100 or 1000 times of the resistance value you need.

    It shouldn't be affected.
