    I'm forgetting what your old Prius was, but it should have had a very similar amount of fuel remaining when the warning light triggered.

    Unless it was a Gen2 with that wildcard of a fuel bladder. Nominally the Gen2 should have been similar, if the bladder worked as expected, but too many of them did not.
