Found a 2010 Prius for part out, and it looks like the wheels are in good condition. I was thinking it might go good with my white 04'. Is the stock(black) wheel size the same as most gen 2s? Hoping to just change my current tires to the new wheels.

Yes same rims fit bought gen 2 and gen 3 Prius. Tires can be swaped between them if they have same size rims. I think gen 2 came with 15” or 16” rims and gen 3 with 15”, 16”, or 17” rims.

Should fit, my 2010 came with silver colored wheels under the hubcaps, I believe later models had black wheels.

Did all 3rd gen have alloy wheels? I was looking to replace the silver 5 spoke plastic hub caps, and a site on Ebay said " remanufactured Toyota hubcaps for steel wheels. Please make sure your wheels are steel for proper fit."

never seen steel wheels from toyota. just throw the plastic caps away for a nice custom alloy wheel look.

You can remove the ugly 3rd gen wheel covers and install a 2nd gen center cap in the center hole. Yes it fits i have done it and should have been that way to begin with.

Do get those centre caps, the 2"~ dia hub closer caps. Without those, especially if you're in an area with copious winter salt, you'll get a lot of hub rust.

A thin coat of anti-seize on the hubs will keep rust at bay too, belts-and-braces. Extend the coverage to the mating surface that contacts the inside of the wheel too, keeps it rust-free and prevents rim getting glued on.
