Love it! Did the same and it works great on my 2011 Prius. I haven't put the on/off switch in yet - I will use a DPDT toggle switch so it will power up the 555 board and simultaneously switch the VSS from the board to the Nav unit to enable the bypass. This should save a little bit of power draw when the switch is in the 'normal' (non-bypassed) position by removing power from the 555 board. I may also remove the LED on the board and mount it next to the switch to indicate the bypass is ON. The flash rate (~3.8Hz) is perfect for grabbing attention as a reminder to switch it OFF after use. If there is interest, I'll post an update when I finish it up. Total cost is less than $20; great find on the 555 module on eBay.

I am trying something new to get the most up to date installation instructions. Starting in April, All of the new customers who purchase the override will receive a link to a user editable instructions. If you feel that the instruction is not clear and you think you can do a better job of clarifying the instruction, you can update it. If the pictures in the instruction don't show the best view and you've taken better pictures that illustrate the view, you can update it. If you have issues with the installation that's not covered in the troubleshooting page and found the solutions for it, you can update it. If you have purchased the override from me and would like to help updating the instruction, contact me for the links. At this time, the installation instructions will only be available to those who have purchased the override due to bandwidth limit set by Google.

I have no wiring information for the 2015 refreshed v yet. Can you give me the face plate model number of the radio so I can do some research.

I would like to install the speed navi override in a 2012 Prius v in Canada. The Prius Shop doesn't seem to be able/willing to ship this to Canada. Has anybody on this side of the border done it?

    Thank you!

Just installed the TSHRCA + SLO1 today in my 2011 Prius and it was a fairly straight forward process. The turn signal switching of the rear view camera works great! The only thing which is giving me problems is the speed override. When I activate the speed override the navigation buttons and audio buttons only stay active for ~30 seconds or so. They then return their innactive grayed-out state. Switching the speed override on and off again does not reactivate the menu buttons. I have to return to the display's home screen and turn off the override and then back on again for it to work, still for only ~30 seconds. The LED on the switch is active so I know I'm getting power. Is there any time of internal timer enabled in your system or have I done something wrong during install? Thanks for any help you might provide!

I installed the SLO1 Nav speed lock override in my wife's 2015 today and I cannot get the NAV unit into the service mode using the instructions on the link that I was supplied. I have tried about every combination of the instructions I was given and nothing seems to work. When test driving the vehicle the override seems to work as it should, but I would still like to look a the VSS screen. The only DISP button I can find is the one on the steering wheel, is this the correct one? I am hitting the power button without depressing the brake pedal to get it into Acc mode and then holding the DISP button down while turning the park lights on and off 4 times.

What am I doing wrong? Or did something change for 2015 from the earlier models?

    Thanks!

OK, I figured it out. Again this is for a 2015 Three, not III because only 2010 used uppercase roman numerals for model designation, other years/ models may be different.

1, Put vehicle in acc. mode.
2, Allow radio/nav to boot up.
3, Hold "setup" button that is on the right hand side of the nav bezel.
4, Turn park lights on/off 3 times. Park is the second position from off.
5, Hit "next page" button on screen for the vehicle speed display.

I tried this numerous times and it seems to be the correct procedure.

So do I still need a SLO1kit in order to override the DVD Playback or is there a way to wire it without it? Read on it early by grounding the orange but I didn't see anyone confirming it. My main purpose is to play DVDs while driving.
My nav is 7in. JBL V1V I believe.
2014 Prius Plug in Adv. if that helps

SLO1 replaces the V1V. Try grounding the brake wire. Let me know if the DVD video comes on.
