Might want to ask the dealer if they have any other option for your C besides the new traction battery.
Can they source a used traction battery for your C (for less than the recyclers price)
Can they charge the traction battery (bandaid, while you figure out which option best fits your needs)

Prices for the C's tiny traction pack are high and warranty is dismal.
Like a dealer parts counter guy mentioned when I bought a oil filter paper insert
Yea, when service finds something wrong with those hybrids, they charge ya!
    or they got ya!
    No charging pun intended....

It's a labor of love and learning to work on your own traction pack.
The first pack rebuilt is always the hardest and usually the least effective,
unless you have an experienced rebuilder give you a couple hints to start your
    journey down the rabbit hole.

Update. So, I end up with the Chinese replacement kit. After hours and hours of finding and chatting with the suppliers. I ordered one. And just arrived today. Currently in process of replacing it. Good news is they have some decent installation and enough parts. Hopefully i can get it finished in a hour.

And. Fixed. Still need more test drive. But after clear out the code. Everything start working properly.

The size of the battery cell did suprised me. I thought it would be a couple 18650 cells.

Thank you all of your helps. If anyone is interested doing this type of rebuild. Im willing to help like everyone in this group.

Awesome and empowering! I just caught a video of a guy doing this to his standard Prius. Looks like they have to work a little harder to get the hybrid battery out of the vehicle. Looking forward to an update!

Final update. I initially cleared all fault codes after the first test drive. and now I just put 100 miles on the C after the fix. everything works fine no code at all. Since I don't even know how a brand new battery supposes to works. I can't give you an idea that if the battery is better than the OEM or not. But when I have a full charge, and parked in a parking lot w/ lights off, AC on. It took about 15 mins until the engine has to kick on. compares to 5-6 mins before the replacement. I'm really happy with the result. I installed an aftermarket stereo system and got the steering wheel control works as well after a couple hours of testing and researching.

Just my 2 Cents as someone who also lives on an island. I had the same code back in September of last year. I drove the car for months as the car automatically started the engine at key on. After doing my own DIY test to identify weak modules I was able to identify 7 that were likely culprits. I ordered 7 used modules from the USA and had them sent to me. If you can get someone to ship you a laptop battery then you can figure out how to get modules sent to you even if it one at a time. Yes many well tell you that you could be playing wack-a-mole with the modules but guess what it only cost me $200 and my own time to get this done and I have had no issues since doing it. That is a far cry from the price you are looking at. Also there are Apps like Dr Prius that can look at your battery information so do a little more reading and you can definately get this done for far less cost.
