Cleaned the Manifold now several codes keep popping up help

    Ok so my buddy gave me his old prius and have had it now for a couple months. Told me the battery was going out and that it throws a code. Ok I get that then last week I got the egr code which I went through cleaned everything except the manifold. I did that the other day and since I'm now getting codes p0102, p0113,p0123, b1433,p0108, so it seems alittle odd to be losing all these functions at once. What would cause all this to happen just by cleaning the manifold. I looked all wires are fine everything plugged back in correctly I don't see any leaks. I've been at this for last few days. Can anyone help me figure this out I'm about to lose my mind. Here are pictures of 2 of the reports I pulled

    Gonna go out on a limb here -- you probably left a wiring connection undone. I believe you only needed to unplug the connector at the lower right of the throttle body in order to remove the IM. But I think the wiring harness has 3 connectors and you might have unplugged one of those other ones as well.

    I checked all the wiring everything is plugged in basically its stating map, maf, pressure sensor and now AC all have faults not sure if there is a short in the wiring or if some how a vacuum leak would cause all these to trip

    Hmm. Have you checked that all the hose clamps are tight? I recall that a couple those were easy to forget about sliding back into proper place and making sure that the clamp rings were tight.

    Well if it was somehow a wiring issue, the repair manual should have a procedure for checking continuity of individual connections with a basic multimeter. (You don't really need the manual but it will show you what pins on the ECM connector go where.)

    Low 12V battery is also known to cause misleading DTCs. But since you have recently had your hands on the MAP, MAF, TPS connections it seemed more likely to be the wiring harness connections to me....

    Yeah there was a short in the wiring. The fuel injectors popped a code and misfire in cylinder 3 all the wiring was exposed look like someone before me did a rush job. But got that figured out thanks

    However the egr pipe leading into the manifold the bolt was stripped when I was trying to get it out and the female plug that the screw goes into was stripped so it won't tighten down. I've looked at parts stores can't find the right piece. Not sure what's it even called.

    You might be able to fix it with a tap and die set. Just be sure to thoroughly flush out the shavings.

    You mean on the intake manifold itself? Might be a captured nut, not sure if it can even be removed from the plastic and replaced. The bolts at either end of the EGR pipe only get tightened to 10N-m which is not even 8 ft-lb. Don't let any gorillas under the hood...

    Yeah, if that threaded insert is loose and spinning, the simple fix is if you can afford to replace the intake manifold.

    If that's out of the question, well, there are suppliers of threaded inserts like that, and you could experiment with various sources of heat for getting the old one out of the manifold and somehow securing a new one in its place. Success would be far from guaranteed....

    Yeah got it to work now my car is throwing more codes. This seems like electrical everything on the same wiring the AC, then cylinder 3 misfire, low voltage MAF ect??? I'm throwing in the towel I checked all connections fine. How the heck do you back probe these cars with the rubber insulation on them?
