I see a lot of questions about this being done and myself had to search high and low all over the internet to get some answers for myself so I'm posting this for others who wish to do extensive stereo installs into the V as there is a lot of missing information out there.

    System specs

    speakers

    Dash speakers Infinity REF-3032cfx

dash speaker cable adapters can be found on amazon look for
RED WOLF Car Front Center Dash Pro Tweeter Audio Speaker Wiring Harness Replacement for 2012-2019 Toyota Corolla, 2008-2019 Toyota Highlander, Subaru 2012-2020 Factory Speaker Connector 1 Pair

mounting is drop in, they are trapped by the top grilles but if you want to prevent some potential for rattling you can double side sticky tape the mounting tabs like i did in my picture or if you have a right angle drill you could drill new holes to mount them with two screws with more effort but its not really necessary. PXL_20210503_000530682.jpg
Front door speakers Infinity Reference 9633ix

adapters are Metra 82-8146, Metra also makes adapters for 6" - 6-3/4" round speakers if you do not want to go the 6x9" route

wiring adapter Metra makes one can also find on amazon it is the common two pin Toyota speaker plug

i have not replaced the rear door speakers, little reason to touch them though they are still in use and much louder with an external amp setup i am running now.

    head unit install

    head unit is a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX PXL_20210426_010329424.jpg

Crutchfield's info is spot on for this and i bought everything from them for this they are only missing one adapter for sat radio if you care to keep it

    Metra 40-LX11 Antenna Adapter

    Metra 95-8243B Dash Kit

    Metra AX-TOYUSB USB Port Cable

    iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module

iDatalink HRN-RR-TO2 Factory Integration Adapter (ADS-MRR module also required)

iDatalink's instructions state you need to splice wires to retain the factory backup camera but that was not the case the HRN-RR-TO2 came with the proper backup camera harness and i followed their directions ignoring the splicing and backup camera functions perfectly.

if you wish to retain sat radio nobody says this is the correct antenna adapter but i have bought it and tested it and it works perfectly

    iDatalink ACC-SAT-TO1 sTO1

that being said I had already ran the sirius xm connect modules antenna and it outperforms the stock antenna so I most likely will switch back to using the sirius xm connect magnetic antenna.

only loss is the factory microphone there is no adapter for this but others on here have detailed how you could re-wire an aftermarket into the car if you wish but i decided for now to just use the HU's dash mic placed at the top left of the center vents above the power button etc.

rest of my system is just two JL amps and two 12" subs easy install in the trunk amps mounted above the spare tire with enough cable slack to allow me to easily lift them out of the way to get the spare out. I was easily able to route 6x RCA cables, 9x 18 awg speaker + amp remote power on cable and the sat antenna cable along the passenger side of the car along the door sills its tight but there is enough room and zero engine noise/ interference etc. all in all as easy of an install as it was in my 2nd gen and it sounds great.

easily removed if i need the added cargo when i need it just like with my old 08 Prius these were in before takes all of 2 minutes and no tools. big difference is with the V i have so much space i dont need to remove them anymore unless i'm packing up the car for a major camping trip or knowingly going to go buy something very large or long..

I have looked at doing this but I suspected that it was too expensive to buy all the adapters and stuff... if you wouldn't mind sharing how much the faceplate adapter plus all the cable adapters cost (minus the price of the deck & speakers) that would be interesting.
Looks like a very nice clean install !

$244.95 + shipping and maybe tax from crutchfield add 15 dollars if you want to add the sat radio antenna adapter to use the stock one (if you are keeping sat radio)

Question as I want to upgrade my 2014 Prius V. Do you retain all the hybrid data screen displayed on factory unit?

No. You lose the energy monitor screen

Crutchfield says these do not fit and thus don't include the harness, but your picture makes it look like it fits. Now that some time has gone by, any issues? Would the recommended 2 3/4" speakers be better in some way?

    Thank you!

Well, I went ahead and installed the driver side speaker with your recommendation, and it is fantastic! I used a bit of the included foam that came with the speaker to help prevent any rattling and I think it will be excellent. I'm not enough of an audio person to likely notice the ramifications of not having the speaker directly mounted to the car since I know that might be important for the absolute best audio quality. But I am not the person to notice that.

Again, thank you so much, I'm going to buy the door speakers that match your recommendation and I'll try and add some photos as well when I'm done!

    This forum rocks!

Well, the dash kit fits horribly, and doesn't clip to the climate section in the middle so it leaves a gap and just overall fits horribly.

    Anyone have any advice?

Well, I trimmed the top of the kit so it just sits flush underside the vent and that helped, but it's still incredibly bad. I'll live with it for now, but I'll be getting a buddy to 3D print me a properly fitting piece later for sure.

Just be careful. The surround for the replacement stereo in my 2004 had a small gap at the top. My significant other inserted a CD into that gap and I had to take the dash apart to retrieve the CD.

I'm going to take it off and trim the top of the dash kit more so it's at least even. It's frustrating.

On top of all this, I now have static that's always on even if I turn the radio off, so... Fun

Well I'm returning the stereo and the components. The fit is awful and the money spent will be better used on other accessories. I'm looking into a radio for a Prius Alpha on Amazon that is made for our dash and seems to fit better, but I'd lose the OEM backup camera and I don't want to run a new one
