In a review here it is being reported that the RSA on new models is accurately showing road signs. I have never seen anything but speed limit signs on my 2021 LTD. Am I the only one out there?
We just got a 2021 XLE We Just see speed limit signs. Also, when exceeding the limit the sign turns orange
Is there a way to know the difference between the Road Sign Assist seeing speed limit signs and the limit signs being displayed from those programmed in the nav maps? Is there a way to turn RSA on & off? It's probably somewhere in your Owner's Encyclopedia. Does this Corolla video help?
I see the speed limit signs, and I have seen simultaneous stop signs, but confusingly these appear behind the speed limit, so it just looks like a speed limit sign superimposed over an octagon. Not terribly useful, but I'm still glad I have the feature.
Unfortunately, you have to choose between RSA and instantaneous MPG or mi/kWh. It's a bit strange as that area of the display remains blank 90% of the time with RSA on. There's no logical reason you can't have both share the same spot. The RSA could just display over the MPG for a few seconds.
@The Professor figured out that if you change the MID screen to the Drive Assist page, you can see the other road signs.
I don’t know since mine has TSS-P 1.0. I assume you just scroll left or right until you reach that page.
Steering assist maybe? I’ve never seen “drive assist” If that’s the case my steering assist has always been on, but I see nothing but speed limit signs
No, steering assist will show up as a green steering wheel icon on the right side (with all the other warning lights). It might be the one with the DRCC/LDW image? Or the one with the compass where you have to scroll up/down after getting to the compass screen?
Does Toyota ever do software updates for existing vehicles for things like this (no split screen when using RSA)? Especially with the HUD activated, where the road signs also appear, I want other info on the MID. It would also be great to have driver profiles (people share cars, crazy I know), so we don’t need to reconfigure (my wife prefers RSA, I prefer having the instant mpg/kWh—not to mention the drivers seat settings/location). The Prime is great overall, just a handful of things that could make it quite a bit more user friendly.
