I've been getting 100 HV mpg in slow traffic. This is after accounting for the EV battery usage (SOC drop). Before accounting for that, it's over 110 mpg. The mpg numbers on the MFD are perhaps exaggerated by 10%, but even then, it is 90 mpg.

Prius Prime is the best car ever!

Can you actually get it on a 20-mile trip with the same SOC as you started? Lately, I've been getting 75–85 mpg on MFD on my trips after accounting for the SOC drop. I can get 100 mpg in heavy traffic.

I'm still in infinity mpg :D. Had to refuel in April on the account I haven't used the fuel in 12.5 months (Had half a tank left). Now I'm sitting on a full tank again but I'm guessing we'll be able to travel a bit further this summer than last summer assuming everything goes to plan and people hunker down for one more month.

How's the vaccination effort going above the 49th parallel:whistle:?

In the Bay Area and the county I work in we are at greater than 50% vaccination of the population, so things are improving nicely:).

Hope the same is true where you are;).

We have some that are still with holding their arm, but that's a topic for another thread(y).

there is a difference between 'the same state of charge as when you started', and 'accounting for state of charge drop'

Slow but steady, increasing rapidly this month and June so hopefully we'll catch up. Currently across the country, we're around 30-35%. "Locally" in my province, we're at 35% with at least one dose. We're still targeting mid-June for everyone who wants one to get at least one dose.

How are the case numbers and hospitalisations with 50%? Ours is dropping due to tighter restrictions (after exponentially rising after spring break/Easter). We're at half the new daily case numbers than we were at the peak of the current wave in my province but still higher than the post-Christmas daily rate.

Do remember to not compare rest-of-world vaccination rates to the US, UK, and Israel. The first two have a huge advantage of being very well supplied with captive vaccine factories. The later is small and was the most proactive in procuring supplies.

It simply hasn't been physically or politically possible for other countries to match these in acquiring vaccines.

I got both Moderna doses here, but the side effects are no walk in the park. The vaccine causes a mini fatigue syndrome, probably due to the extreme dose of the viral RNA injected that drives the immune system crazy, which lasts for a few weeks to a month.

Yeah, today, it's been fifteen days since my second Moderna, and finally I've felt that I have my normal energy in the gym! Days 8–10 were worst in terms of strength and endurance in the gym. This is definitely something you shouldn't get within a month before an an important competition if you're a professional athlete.

By the way, still working from home, the Prius Prime sees the mileage mainly from the gym trips. Otherwise, I would be doing like 150 miles a month, mostly to the grocery stores. ;)

Wow, I got my second dose but it didn’t last that long. I felt horrible the day after and then not quite 100% for a couple days after that. The worst was my arm swelled up and was hot to the touch where they injected it after that first day after. Not fun.

One good thing about Moderna is they are working on a combo flu/booster.

I don't know which one has a higher dose of mRNA or higher reactogenicity, but it could indeed be Moderna. I know in early Moderna trials, the mRNA dose was so high that people had to go to urgent care and receive IV fluids. They subsequently lowered the mRNA dose so that the side effects are not that severe any more.

Mine was only really bad during the first night after the second dose—dizziness and aches all over my body, I could barely climb the stairs in my house at one point. After a day and a half, easily noticeable side effects were gone. However, when I pushed myself to the limits in the gym, lack of strength and endurance showed the following week. I finally got my full strength and endurance back after fifteen days. You probably wouldn't notice it during your daily activities, but you could notice it if you are straining yourself in the gym and so on.
