So I have a brand new kit for my backup 2nd gen 2009 fully loaded touring in titanium Ive been keeping in storage for when my 2007 dies, but my 2013 decided to dump all kinds of gross from cell 1 and 2, all the other cells are SOLID testing at 6000-6400mah.. So I'm thinking about putting the new kit in the 2013 but I know it comes with a custom wiring harness since its removing 14 cells.. anybody have the info to install this? I don't have time to order 2 cells and wait..
Gen 3 harness connectors are very different from the Gen 2 connectors. Gen 3 doesn't really have an ECU in the battery case, among other differences. You could go ahead and build the Gen 2 battery, then use a couple OEM Gen 2 modules to repair the Gen 3 battery. What's your location, other than earth? If you're near Columbia, SC I could have 6000+ capacity modules in your hand today.
Yeah I want to but Id really like to test the cells with the 3rd gen.. Im in Orlando Florida, I have plenty of cells but im really interested in the performance and stability of them..
ok, Looks like I can customize what I have, PIN 1 on my voltage connector J1 corroded away, was hoping anybody knew where to get those crimps or what I can do. looks like the 2nd gen harness I have is a bigger Pin, and won't fit..
