So I picked up one of those bazooka base tubes today It came with a connector that you attached to the wiring harness currently on the stereo A pin punctures the current wires, six in total.. Now I went by a wiring diagram I found online, hooked it up annnddd..... nothing.. Sub wasn't working at all Though ok Il give up and try again tomorrow Turn off car, get out, its beeping at me.. Turn power off! Ok... get back on car and hit the power button, it turns on.. hit twice to turn car off, it turns off. Go to get out and lock it, Its beeping again, Look inside 'turn power off!' Car won't turn off now! And it just started pouring rain out.. So I had to uhook all the wires from the subwoofer Then car turned off.. So did I have the wires wrong? Can someone point me to a diagram showing what wires are what speakers?
Il be honest, this stuff isn't my strong point, I've been looking at that diagram and the back of the unit for half hour now, and I can't figure out what's what lol. I need the front l +and - the front right + and - the ignition power and Accessory power. Now I can see them on the diagram, but finding them on the head unit is another story Lol any help?
All the stuff that was driving me nuts, cause I was sure I had it right but it wasn't working... it was all right. problem was a bad ground in the trunk lo, All good now.
I have no idea how to post an original thread because this site is so poorly designed! It should be obvious how to make a new thread! Anyway Toyota has a problem in the 2009 Prius models where if you have the JBL sound system and use an iPhone or iPad to achieve signal clarity the system can not handle volumes at or above 30 for more than 10 minutes. If you enjoy music as much as I do this is a huge issue. The volume cap is 60, it should be able to handle 30 to 40 without issue. But if you do have music playing that loud for longer than 10 minutes the air conditioning stops first and then the red hazard /!\ symbol lights up with most of the other warning lights.
