That picture reminds me of the movie the "Motorcycle Diaries". It is all in Spanish with subtitles but it is a good movie about a young Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

Ah, old times. I remember driving around those types of roads without protection barriers in Chile and Argentina. I can tell you that I never fell asleep on those roads because they were so narrow at times that 2 cars wouldn't be able to safely pass each other without stopping. But I agree with you. Don't drive on those roads; MPG would be a killer and traction control would go on strike!
