In what has been described as "possibly my worst decision ever", I disassembled my 2007 Prius all the way down to the unibody chassis, sold the latter for scrap, and piled up all the parts in my living room. This is not a good way to decorate your living space, the situation is very bad, and I need to find a different quarantine hobby. The poor thing died in a low-speed front collision that swayed the frame rails. No airbag deploy. Bumper, radiator and condenser got smushed a bit. CHRS tank, intake resonator and headlight assemblies were also affected. It still drove fine and tracked straight afterward. No evidence of damage to the front crossmember, engine, transaxle, etc. So, if you need a part for a 2nd gen, make me an offer! Nearly every part is available. I removed everything from the car that doesn't require cutting to remove. Highlights of what is available: - HV battery (2007 OEM, works & doesn't throw a code, but degraded capacity) - Both exhaust pieces incl. catalytic converters - Inverter assembly - 12v battery (relatively new, works ok, that's all I know) - Rear bumper, bumper cover, and shock absorber - Taillight assemblies - Dashboard parts - Door parts - Fuel tank - Brake actuator (worn but functional) and other brake parts - Almost all interior plastic trim pieces - Air conditioner - Air conditioning compressor - Steering column, rack, etc. - All suspension things (not rusty! This car lived its life on the west coast) - Airbags - ECUs and other electrics - Most wire harnesses - Glass, except windshield - Engine and transaxle, but...while separating these I damaged the bell housing mating surfaces, so they may be trash now. - Etc. A few things that are NOT available: - Hood - Fenders (they got bent) - Front bumper parts (they got smushed) - Most of the underbody plastic covers have already gone in the bin. - Full door assemblies (I'd have to put them back together) Best is if you are in Cleveland and can come pick up, but I will mail parts if you pay the postage.
Do you mean UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY and LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (see attached page)?
Im not sure why I cant message you do you have another means of contact I was interested in a few parts and was hoping you could ship them out?
I can't seem to "start a conversation" with you either. I guess it's just broken. My email is [email protected].
the forum screwed up the mailto: link, it left off the last bit. Let me try again: [email protected] if that is the address you sent to...idk, didn't get anything yet.
I didn’t catch if this was a smart-key model, looking for the rear hatch release switch and wiring to add/mod interior hatch release. Thanks. (There’s no existing interior switch/wiring, of course...I’m looking for the switch/wiring that goes on exterior, will mod for use inside hatch)
Looks from your other posts like you made it work without those parts. My hatch release switch is (mechanically) broken but you can have any wiring you want. You can have it for $20 if you can come pick it up. (Cleveland area.) If not...I am not sure how to ship an engine, seems like it might be expensive. The engine has 180k miles on it, but seems to be ok, and doesn't burn much oil. I will take some pictures of the damage to the housing soon. This forum's "Conversations" feature doesn't seem to work; if you are having trouble starting a conversation with me, please send an email: [email protected].
