Hello, I'm considering buying either a Crosstrek or a Prius Prime as my first car. My lifestyle involves a lot of car camping, hiking and climbing. So #1 priority is to sleep in the car. I laid down in a prius prime at the dealership and had 1' of free space at my feet. 2 resulting questions: 1. Is it true that 2019 and earlier priusus, but not new priuses, are able to run the heater all night? 2. If i buy a used prius, do I get the $4502 tax incentive? Normally recent-model used cars are not much cheaper than new, so if I go for an all-night heated car, then I lose money on the tax incentive.
I think you'll see a variety of threads that might answer your 1st question here: Anyone camp in their Prius Prime? | PriusChat Congrats on the Prime! If you haven't, check out Nikki Delventhal on YouTube, she a pro Prius camper it seems.
