I heard Bill Nye (the science guy) who is good friends with Ed Begley Jr, and I believe I read somewhere that Bill drives (or at least at one point drove) a Prius I know Bill and Ed were in a friendly competition against each other to have the smallest carbon footprint, and they both were making changes to reach that goal.
Probably some California priuchat members are driving a prius previously owned by a celebrity and they don't even know it
Unless they are really old and really famous, even if they died, the car won't be worth much more than a similar prius.
In America more people know who Homer Simpson is, than who Thurgood Marshall was, so yes we are that shallow.
I drive it for economic reasons, paying half for gasoline compared to my other honda enables me to pay for fuel and the cost of the prius v.
It's just trivia and fun, that's all. And there is something fascinating about someone who can afford a loaded Mercedes or similar choosing instead to drive an inexpensive, environmentally-friendly car.
Other than PriusGuy32, I wonder how many celebs are on this forum. On that subject, Cameron Diaz or Gwyneth Paltrow are more than welcome to direct message me
“Not very green” well, neither is the Prius. It is economical, but by no means environmentally friendly. Making hybrid batteries and electric car batteries in general is very toxic for the environment. I love mine but it’s not accurate to portray it as a “green” car, because no such thing truly exists (yet)
