You can contact Metropolitan Toyota in Ohio who can provide the color-matched mouldings. Cut & paste this into your browser: www.metrotpn.com I don't inow the current price - I think about $125 for the set of four shipped with instructions. They are secured with adhesive. Mine are 2+ years old, perfect color match. If you are courageous, you can install them yourself. I had mine installed by my Dealer's Body Shop at no charge.
I'll also vouch for mterotpn.com's molding. I picked up silver ones back in February, had them installed at a local auto customizer so I don't screw up my new car too So far they're doing well and they make the car look better IMO.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(massimo @ Oct 22 2006, 01:40 PM) </div> Also, you can click the license plate in my sig. It'll take you to pics of my car that has the molding installed.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(prius biker @ Oct 22 2006, 04:01 PM) </div> They're a pretty easy install, just don't rush. I found I needed to drop them about an inch and 1/4 so they would match the spot where our honda oddessy's door would hit it in our garage.
Don't you just peel off the backing and stick em on? The only problem might be if they are not lined up right. I was going to photoshop a double set of black ones on my future Prius or I was thinking about putting the two front ones on the roof cause I believe that the cars need a little work on the outside. I want it a little more curvy. B)
can anyone do me a huge favor and tell me the toyota part number for the mouldings if you've got them? would sincerely appreciate it, TIA
These are *NOT* Toyota parts, thus no "Toyota part number." They are sold by at least ONE Ohio Toyota Dealer's Part Department as well as other after market sources. If you choose to order from Metropolitan online as above, you will access a multiple-choice menu of the Prius colors. The colors are excellent exact matches and have the clear coat just like the Prius original paint.
ah, i see. thanks we were trying to find out if we could get em for cheaper with dealer employee discount. hmm.
I've been looking at the pictures people have posted but I can't seem to figure out what body mouldings are? Are they the horizontal line I'm seeing in the middle of the door?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tlyke1983 @ Oct 28 2006, 09:07 PM) </div> Yes - they're to prevent other people from giving you 'door dings'. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Charles Suitt @ Oct 27 2006, 02:52 PM) </div> It's my understanding that they ARE Toyota parts, but for a different model than the Prius. You may be able to find out which model from doing a search.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(timg @ Oct 24 2006, 04:00 PM) </div> Can you recommend a brand of mudflaps? Thanks
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Got Prius? @ Oct 31 2006, 10:28 PM) </div> The Toyota salesman told me they were not available for Prius. I tried to order them from the dealer on my 2007. I have Metrotpn.com's coming probably tomorrow in Barcelona Red. The Toyota salesman also told me door edge guard were not available in my color.
Hi Jeannie... Quote: "It's my understanding that they ARE Toyota parts, but for a different model than the Prius." The Highlander body side mouldings were used for Prius a couple or three years ago. They're somewhat wider and were available in limited color choices thus not available for all Prius colors. These mouldings are not a Toyota part but the Ohio Dealer Parts Department provides them. The Highlander mouldings were also somewhat more expensive. A group of Prius owners in 2004 or early 2005 ordered these in a 'group purchase' but such a 'group' deal has not been made available since then. At that time, they were ~$96/set. The current price is $115 plus shipping. Since I have a 2007 Touring Edition Prius bought, as soon as it gets here I will order a new set of Driftwood. While I can't absolutely confirm that my mouldings have actually prevented dings, I have no dings in 2 years of normal parking and driving. I also prefer the 'look' with mouldings as contrasted to the 'no mouldings' appearance.
