I am having issues after replacing ABS module, the car was fine at first after bleeding the system, then the lights all came on. My battery voltage is over 12V, so that's not the issue. The part I replaced it with, I ran the VIN, and ensured that this part had the factory recall performed on it. Are there any locals that can hook up to this with Techstream?
Welcome to PriusChat!! SoCal is fairly expansive, which part is considered local these days? You can get a mini-vci cable for 20usd, then all you need is a windows device or something to emulate such.
I think I worked the ABS situation out using the diagnostic ports 4 &13) and pumping the brakes until the ABS pump went off. I realized in the process of this pump going out, it slowly drained the battery, which in the end, couldn't keep it's head above water. I got a new battery this morning at the Toyota dealer and now the triangle, VSC and (!) lights are on. I have a newly refreshed battery, replaced (under recall according to VIN of donor car) ABS module, the plugs, pcv valve, oil, filter. Car has 210K.
Unknown if there are local retailers that sell mini-vci cables. I've seen people on NorCal CL offer laptop/cable setups, but not lately.
