This plug came out of a 2008 that I got last week with cylinder 1 misfire, 496,600km I swapped out the plug with a known good plug, no change Swapped coil #1 for #2 still no change Haven't done a compression test yet, looks like it might be blown head gasket (my first guess) control ring, or bad fuel injector! Dare to guess what it will be ? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Sfo I really hope you are right! The car is not worthy of an engine swap or head gasket and I do not need any more parts cars Can't remember which way around it was but for the two columns on the monitor tool for misfires, one count was like 75 the other a lot less like 5 or 10 and run time just a minute or so. Went back to the car today now the misfire has gone from only cyl1.. to 1,2 and even a couple on 3&4 Has anyone seen misfire rate pattern like this before and if so, what was it? There is only water in the radiator, and has a new water pump, I guess most likely will be head gasket :/ Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Test for compression, test for actual spark output from each coil (use a spark tester), test to see if the fuel injector can deliver fuel to the cylinder. If nothing shows up then scrap it and move on. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thanks Guy_Mann Its only a parts car with potential to be saved if the engines not ruined, one day soon i will check everything above and report back Cheers
