Selling my 2021 Prius Prime Limited in order to buy Tesla. Purchased new Jan 13, 2021. Now has about 2100 miles on it. Absolutely perfect in every way.

It has an appearance package added by the dealer including pin stripes, door edge guards, wheel opening guards, and side body moldings.

Here is the window sticker and a few pics. PM for more info please.

Humm, I don't know anyone in the Greater NY region would be interested in buying used PP Ltd at that price knowing a brand new one could be had ~$23K after tax credit. Your chance of selling it would increase vastly in the South or Midwest, I would think. Good luck.

I’m surprised you would post such misinformation Salamander king. Perhaps you could explain how anyone can get a prime limited for 23K?

Here is my bill of sale. You can see the 5K Toyota rebate applied already and after I get the 4502 fed tax credit my cost will drop to 28,950. Please check your facts when posting.

Yeah, YMMV. You included the tax and document fees in the price. My number is just for the car. You can check the fact yourself by browsing the thread you posted your cost. There are plenty of examples of the actual price of the car showing over $10K off the MSRP.

    $35K MSRP
    -$5K Toyota rebates
-$2-$3K Dealer discount and additional state or local incentives
    -$4.5K Fed Tax credit
The final price $23.5K-$24.5K before tax and fees

Not the Ltd trim, but I purchased PP twice in the last four years, both times my final cost including tax and fees for the purchases were about $10K off the MSRP ($19K for 17 PP Premium and $18K for 20 PP LE). This with only a $3125 rebate on 17, and a $3500 rebate on 20. If I buy now, I know I can get $35K 2021 PP Ltd for $27.5K before tax and fees at my local dealer without any negotiation. After $4.5K tax credit, it will be $23K + tax and fees.

Yes, my price is the real total cost to buy the car, I.e., Out The Door price. My goal is to be completely transparent and post actual bill of sale and window sticker for all to inspect.

Lots of people talk about special deals, but I haven’t seen many posts showing actual bills of sale. Maybe you could post one?

My OTD price including all rebates and credits is 28954 as shown, and I have to wait over a year to get back the 4502 factored in this price. If I reduce this by NJ sales tax it would be 27155. Still nowhere near the 23K number you’re throwing around.

Well, just because you did not get a great deal at your dealer, it does not mean there aren't any good deals out there. With due diligence, you can buy PP $10K off the MRRP OTD easily in NY/NJ or NE region.

I think I did get a great deal at my dealer! This car also has 4 appearance items added by the dealer that To me anyway improve the appearance. Pin stripes, door edge guards, wheel opening guards, and side body moldings which amount to about 1500. Not sure why you seem to want to trash listing. You may be relying too much on hearsay. I would like to see an invoice from anybody for an equivalent vehicle for less, or it’s just talk.

i don't see a discount from the dealer or toyota rebate?

nevertheless, cali is the hottest ev market in the country, so resale prices are the highest.

I got 5000 rebate from Toyota. It is listed on second to last entry on invoice. In addition, Dealer offered 1500 “discount” and I used 1100 of this for appearance package items listed, and 400 to lower MSRP. So it is rolled into the “price of car” line at top.

Yes, if I subtract sales tax and the extras added it is 25.5K. Makes me feel a little better. It is worth noting that I paid sales tax on both the 5000 rebate and the 4502 credit, which the next buyer will not have to. If I sold for 27500 nj tax would be only 1821 rather than 2364 I paid. So there’s another 500 savings. I got an offer for 26500 and am probably going to accept.

It is a little concerning to hear the Prius Prime supply is outpacing demand to such an extent, and presumably causing the value to drop. Is the car not selling as much as anticipated? Is it just the North-East?

it's hard to say for sure, but the common belief is that toyota gets credits in cali for primes sold in any other carb states.
while it doesn't sell that well outside of cali, it pays off for them to do the big discounts and rebates.

otherwise, they have to buy carb credits for their land yachts sold in cali, like other mfgs have to do who don't have plug ins, or don't sell enough.

and who sells the most carb credits? tesla! they make a bundle, cause they don't sell any gassers.
and it happens in other countries too.

but i have to say, 47 prime is way more than my local dealer has ever had.
