I took delivery of my 2007 Prius 2 weeks ago and have been having a blast driving it and lurking here learning everything I can. I had been waiting less than three weeks for the car; although the dealer told me it would be a 2-3 month wait, the exact car I wanted -- Super White, bisque interior, package #6 (previously #8) -- happened to be in the first batch of 2007s they received. The salesman told me white is not a very popular color, so I didn't have competition for this car. Lucky me! I achieved what I think is a respectable 44 mpg on my first tank of gas, and am currently at around 46.5 on the second. I appreciate all the great info here about how to maximize fuel effciency and get the most out of my car. I do have a few questions that I will post in the appropriate sub-forums, but I wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all of the great information found here about this remarkable car.

Did you smile inside when you filled it the first time? I had this s-eating grin on my face filling up next to a guzzling suburban! Enjoy and welcome!
Congrats. You are going to love it. When going to visit my daughter, we stop at the same half way point we did before (a gas station). The difference is, when we stop now, it is for a pit stop for the passengers and to get a drink and snack and not for gasoline.
Congrats, I also have a white #6 which has around 4600 miles, and i'm averaging 55mph (both msd and calculated) here in Si Valley. I would recommend not using rotten robbie pumps, as they seem to flow too fast to fill the bladder properly. My favorite shell station is mysteriously under construction, so I'm looking for a replacement station. I'll wave if I see another white pri out on san thomas. cheers ss
