I registered my Home with the Nav system, and I put in my home phone number (associated with the "Home" location in the Nav, not in the phone book). I *swear* that at least once before I was able to use a voice command such as "Dial Home," "Call Home," or "Phone Home" to call the number, but now I cannot get it to work. After I did it, I told my husband to try it on his Lexus (which has the same Nav/Bluetooth system and commands as the Prius) but he can't make it work either. Was I hallucinating? And even if I *were* hallucinating, doesn't this seem like a reasonable thing to expect the system to be able to do? If it can "Go Home" it should be able to "Dial Home," no?
I'm not sure if registering your home address and telephone number will get this done or not. If you have your home number in your stored telephone numbers and have registered a voice tag, you can use the "dial by name" command and the voice tag when prompted to make it happen. Otherwise you have to use "dial by number". I hope this helps.
I know I can (and have) put my home number into my phone book, attach a voice tag to it, and use the "Dial Name" command to dial it, but this is an annoyingly slow three-step procedure. It just seems the system ought to be able to use its unique concept of "Home" as a destination to allow dialing the number associated with this destination to be a one-step voice command.

I tried programming my home number and use a voice tag merely stating "home", but the nice voice kept telling me that "home" was too short of a name. Hmmm. "hoooooome" works, though.
