    Hi all,
I just noticed that I never see/saw Air Bag light on my panel upon start up. That one one Red on the bottom row like on the stock photo below.(this is not mine car).
brr...am I missing my air bag at all?
I just did my maintenance and main battery replace (with aftermarket modules), guy didn't tell me that it's missing, but found another air bag code
    B1801 - Open in D Squib Circuit
, which he said related to that spiral spring cable connector. Didn't tell me anything about missing light. Maybe I should reset it ??

Also: while doing my missing dashboard lights/capacitor replacement I noticed that air bag was replaced on passenger side and surely I have salvaged title.
Do you think my AirBug is OK and ready to deploy if needed or I might missing something. I heard something that some bad guys in South can shorted/kill that light. on a passenger side I always have <AirBag> yellow if no passenger, I learned that it's OK>

    Why I didn't check it 6 years ago ???-)

I've seen a couple of gen2 wrecks where the airbag(s) didn't go off, and was surprised. Wouldn't count on it working, even if it did.

I had a frontal collision with a small tree that wrecked my bump bar completely, and my air bag did not deploy.

If the airbag light is not illuminating for a few seconds every start, it is probably in your interest to follow the steps in the repair manual (more info) for identifying why.

Thanks all, I will follow up

For Prius 2, is there any free download ? so far i see only paper books for DM manuals.

So many factors... Look like the only reliable test is <small tree test> like happened with amscuibay.

Thanks All, sorry about small tree and your bag not exploding, with bar ruined it definitely should go off, right?
I had a chance to examine cluster for any light tempering, alas didn't notice that missing light then.
Did you hear how bad guys doing that, what place to check ?

I think on start all lights should go up for control check, not matter what codes you have. I will follow up when I will replace spiral cable.

    Thanks all

I just had pro run all code and light diagnostics without opening anything and based on the fact that I still have Passenger Air bug light:
The only thing he said could go wrong is some guys pull out bulb from cluster, they know how to do this and even cheat codes. I forgot to check it when I was fixing that dash black out problem with capacitor. This bulb should be super reliable.

I even could not find any bulb or led for sale for this case, anybody dealt with this replace ? Appreciate any info.

I might check it out ,need to examine cluster. but first I will try to replace Spiral Cable and clear all codes.

Without having it open in front of me right now, I am pretty sure you will find in the Repair Manual a troubleshooting section specifically for an airbag light that never lights up. It will step you methodically through the possible reasons, so you don't have to try to guess what they all might be.

Hi ChapmanF, so far I see that Repair Manual available only in the printed form, is this correct ?

If you check this wiki page that Elektroingenieur kindly constructed, you should see information on how to access the manuals directly online at Toyota's TIS website, as well as other options that may be available to you through institutions like public libraries that may have arrangements for access to the same content. Look at all the options under the heading "where to find it".

Si, I'm studying this page, it's really extensive. I dismissed all $ options so far and looks like most of materials are for fee, which makes perfect sense. Tx
