Possible I suppose, but pretty hard to fake the dash warning lights....

I'm not really leaning toward a lean condition. Lean conditions in N2O usually result in burned/melted pistons. I'm thinking more along the lines of mechanical failure due to too much instant rpm..way beyond what that 1.5 L engine/block/crank/rods are designed for.

N2O of course is laughing gas, and I think there may leak and someone got an over dose.
Interesting though I wonder if you could fill tires with it as a heavy gas that does not leak...

OK so you've got the pressurized oxidizer (nitrous oxide) and the fuel (rubber)... wonder how much heat you'd need? Now that would get some youtube clicks...

    ...another bad experiment perhaps
I use a special heavy gas called STAFIL in my bike and Prius spare tire.

    Found it. Already on youtube.

A big rubber log for fuel with nitrous injection to oxidize it.

The N2O won't do anything until it breaks down under the heat of compression/ignition/etc. I think it's something like 500 degrees where the N2 separates from the O to allow the O to burn with the fuel.

Now, if your car happens to catch on fire and burn on the side of the road one day, that may certainly make an interesting video when the tire start to burn.

Nitrogen fill tires purposely avoids Oxygen. It would be more aptly be called Oxygen-free fill. It's the Oxygen that leaks more, and causes corrosion.

He actually says this himself in the video. The dumbest thing is that he did this right before his flight to Europe and his wife was already on her way to the airport without a cellphone.

On the other hand disasters often get the most Youtube views, so maybe he knows what he is doing.

    Hello,
I have fitted several NOS systems to different vehicles.
By far the best system I’ve come across uses “pulsoids” (basically the nitrous oxide and extra fuel is pulsed into the intake) one pulsoid for nitrous oxide and one for fuel. The whole system has corresponding jets, marked in horsepower increments. The better systems don’t just “arm” or “disarm”, they have a progressive controller, programmable options, like initial horsepower hit, for instance say 40% and a timed increase over .75second to full power. Also tank warmers etc
It’s makes no difference how fast you think your car goes, it ALWAYS goes faster with NOS. Ask the dragracers.

Forgot to say, the engine runs hotter than normal, use a colder graded plugs because he negative electrode is the first thing to start melting

What people forget to question is if the traction control was off or if the car was in maintenance mode to disable any kind of safeties. If you dump nitrous in and the computer kills the power, bad things will happens. You're supposed to have safeties so the nitrous system stops if anything happens (like hitting rev limiter and what not).

You are arguing he is a professional shit for brains, rather than just naturally clueless?

I’m arguing that he turned a profit from blowing up that engine.
