After installing my coilovers, my driver side seems a bit lower (without me in the car). After adjusting the rear to hopefully make it evenly dropped on my passenger side, the driver side still sits lower. No matter how much I adjust, the height remains the same. I asked a couple of my buddies to see if I missed something, they all said I'm doing it right. Just in case, I asked my alignment/suspension guy (Chewerks, City of Industry, CA), he says I'm doing it right as well. If I'm doing it "right", why isn't my passenger side lower after adjusting it to be lower ? People have suggested driving around or moving the car back/forward to "settle", but nothing is helping. Any tips? (side note: my rear camber is -2.4 driver, -2.9 passenger.. doesn't make sense to me since the car sits lower on the driver side and visually can see more negative camber on driver side.) Thanks in advance.
Make sure you put your car on level ground. Or better yet, put it on an alignment machine and check height on each corner.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've tried many level ground areas because I know my driveway isn't level, and no matter where, the driver side is still lower. This is what I did: 1) I lowered the pass side a bit, drove to multiple level areas, the driver side is still lower. 2) I raised the driver side a bit, drove to the same areas, the driver side is still lower. So I adjusted both side, oppositely, but there is no change in height on either side. I'm confused why it's not changing the height at all. I'm measuring with a measure tape, so I know the height isn't even changing a millimeter.
