Speedometer shows 0mph (odometer not going up, trip A & B not going up, no cruise)

I would suggest you get a mini vci cable with a copy of techstream software and set it up on an old windows laptop. That way you can scan all of the computer modules on the car to check for fault codes that could point you in the correct direction.

I don't recall the specifics on the prius but typically something like the ABS or transmission module will take readins from a sensor and process that into a Vehicle Speed Sensor signal and send that info out over the data network. Other modules like the engine computer or the Combination Meter (CM or "speedo") will read and use that data.

So you need to see if the problem is that somehing isn't creating the VSS data or signal, OR if the CM can't talk to the network.
