power out jack is dead - not fuse

    The power outlet jack in the dash of our 2008 prius is dead.

    I have verified that the 15a fuse is good (3rd from top on left column of fuses). It must be the relay, I reckon. I have also verified that 12v is getting to the fuse- I get 12v on but sides of the fuse.

    But where is this relay and how can I get to it?

    Did you find a fix? Both the dash and console stopped working in mine. I verified the fuses were good, and haven't progressed further.

    I only take trips long enough where I need to charge something once a year, so I'm just making sure I remember a battery pack.

    yep pretty common the socket is worn out dont take much its pretty flimsy. Replaced mine about 4 years ago. Do not have the part number.

    Both sockets failed at the same time, which makes me think it's not the individual sockets, fuses are new, but I'll try tomorrow and make sure they are fully inserted.
