My 2008 with 227,000 miles finally hit the end of her life. She had been burning oil for a long time. I replaced the catalytic converter about a year ago. She had the initial hybrid as well as 12v battery. She treated so well that I wanted desperately to find another Gen2.. well, my prayers were answered! I found one in the exact same color with only 67,000 miles. Just a baby! The carfax is impeccable. Oil changes every 5,000 miles from day 1. Water pump replaced. Battery is in perfect condition. As the fates would have it, I managed to hit truck tire tread on the highway and my insurance accepted at $1200 comprehensive insurance claim.. so, I cashed it out and put it towards the new car. ALSO.. as the fates would have it, the catalytic converter was stolen from the new one.. soooo.. they offered me $800 for my 2008 and are going to put my 1 yr old cat on my new baby. $6000 including tax and tags out the door!!! I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am right about now. I’m going to tint her up, move my all weather mats over, put a new radio in and put some seat covers on.. gotta remove the pinstripes too. WHAT A SCORE!
You lucky dog! You’re smart to not “upgrade “ to a gen3, they are nothing but trouble with the headgasket issues, inverter issues, break issues... gen2 and gen4 are the best! I’ve often thought about trying to find a old low mile gen2 one day. I think that would be awesome!
The only concern would be if the combo meter was replaced with one at 000000 67,000 miles ago. iPhone ?
It definitely wasn’t. This beauty is in near mint condition inside and out. I’m so happy right about now!
