Hi - the leather in my Prius seems to be very squeaky. I've been told by another owner to get McGweire (sp?) Leather Cleaner and rub down all the leather in the car. To get rid of the squeaking? Good or bad approach? (I can also go back to the Toyota dealer who installed the leather as they've been quite nice about one other small thing, fixed without an appointment, driveup, etc.)
I regularly use Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (good cleaner, OK conditioner) and Zymol Leather Conditioner (better for just regular conditioning every few months) and no squeaks here.

I'm wondering if that sound is anything like when I used to wear cords to jr. high school, and the legs of my pants would make that schweek-schweek-schweek noise if they rubbed together when I walked... I guess that's more of a "schweek" than a "squeak," though. Can't quite tell if this is a question about the surface of the leather or if it has to do with the dealer install and some sort of fit/finish/rubbing issue(s).
Well, I am so glad now I have fabric.. it is so quiet and soft, I'd swear I was sitting on a cloud!! (Leather would be really nice though.. at least it doesn't sound like a whoopie cushion)
