Hey Everyone! So about 3 nights ago the audio output in my car ceased altogether. Meaning, everything else works Per-fect-ly fine! But 1. No sound it being outputted. 2. Volume toggle no longer displays numbers at all. 3. Touchscreen menu items no longer beep when pressed. I opened the users manual and checked the 3 main audio fuses but none of them show any issue. Eager to receive any assistance
hard to know definitively. you're probably going to have to pull the unit, check the connections and if they are good, replace it. unusual for a 2015
The 2015 Entune? It is a known P.O.S.! My wife has a 2015 Prius v Four with the Entune. We LOVE everything ELSE about the car. But the Entune system re-boots itself randomly. From what I've read, about the only solution worth anything is ripping it out and replacing it with an aftermarket unit. Toyota laid a buggy egg when they used this garbage. They don't do that very often, but when they do... ugh! These units do all sorts of strange things. Different people describe different ways in which the Entune is "possessed" by evil spirits. I wish I had better news for you. Hopefully not. I suspect it has to do with the 12v Battery. I read they have a lifespan of 6 years if well maintained or something. I bought this vehicle last week. Is that what the 2015 Prius 4 comes with? I know mine came with JBL speakers which, I was so sad when I had to drive from San Diego to LA with NO MUSIC from those powerful things =,( I'll double check the software and come back to this. Yes absolutely. Then it one morning it just gave out. Im confident this is an easy fix, i jsut dont want to attempt to fix the wrong thing and waste money

Dooode. I haven't fixed it yet. I went to the Toyota dealer and they wanna tax me $3k to fix it. It was at that point that I decided to go to Walmart and just buy Bluetooth speaker. I'll figure it out someday
There's an audio ampplifer under the passenger seat that handles the audio output to the speaker, it's shielded a plastic covering. Since you have a four package it has the jbl package; external amp. The amp may need troubleshooting.
Im looking at it now . I cant imagine what needs troubleshooting but at least now I know where to find the amp ⚡

He used his handheld diagnostics tablet on my Prius and a specific code popped up: B15C3 (Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored when a malfunction occurs in the speakers) Possible Causes Faulty Speaker Speaker harness is open or shorted Speaker circuit poor electrical connection Faulty Navigation Receiver Assembly Faulty Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly Read more: B15C3 TOYOTA Speaker Output Short I was told to visit a car audio specialist. If you know any in San Diego county please shoot me their info! This is by far the BEST lead and I thank you all for responding!
I have the same issue in my 2012 Prius 4. Audio just totally stopped working, but everything else is fine. Just got back from the dealer, who ran diagnostics and got the B15C3 code as well. They told me mine has a short in the amplifier, and they quoted me close to $1,300 to replace. Planning to go to a local car audio place to see if I can get something better for cheaper.
I had the same happen to my 2015 Prius. I went to Best Buy and they offered free installation if you buy a head unit from there. Worth checking out. They did a good job on a unit with wi-fi carplay and android auto.
Nice nice! Yeah it turned out I just had to replace the stinking thing . Bought a used (2012 i think) amp on ebay for around $300. It goes out if the volume is too high & overheats and shit but. Works otherwise.
