Very nice. Enjoy your new Prius. After you read all tips here and drive longer distances I'm sure you'll see improved mileage. And welcome to PriusChat - many knowledgeable posters here (I'm not one of them, but I've learned a lot reading this forum.)

    Thanks,

I am reading as much as I can about the Prius...and am learning how to cruise whenever the situation is right. I was able to get 99.9 mpg going uphill for quite a bit! I have learned that if you build acceleration into an approaching high spot or hill, you can cruise upwards with some pretty good MPG results. I'm confident that I will get the hang of driving the Prius and will get the 50mpg overall MPG goal that I have.

Nice lookin ride, STexasPrius. I don't see that color too much. It should be good for not showing the dirt. Our last two vehicles were similar to that color, so this time we went with red, and it seems like now red is all we see. Isn't that always the way it is? Enjoy.

A beauty! The mileage will go up...with more driving and miles...great info here to help along those lines. My first tank was 30 mpg. I'm on my fifth tank now at 45 mpg.

:D Welcome to the club dude!!!

Yes, your mileage will certainly improve with time, miles and experience driving. After the breakin period you will see an improvment, then again after about 5000 miles or so..... so for now, just ENJOY!! You have a very very nice looking car, and I like to dash kit, I didn't know they came as factory equip on the '07s.

It seems that Toyota has a number and letter series of packages. I purchased a Package #3 with a Package C option Prius. The molded dash came with the Package C part of the deal. I really like this car....

No, Toyota doesn't have a package for dash kits for the 07. I don't think there is any such thing as factory dash kit. Your dealer most likely added it's own letter series (A,B,C...) of packages that included a third party dash kit.

    Nice car, congratulations!! :D

I'm loving the new wheels on the 07's, but I'm not a fan of the wood-grain dash look....

    Very nice car!

After having my Prius for a while I was regularly getting 50-53MPG on average per tank. Now that it's getting colder out I'm back down to 45-48 or so. I need to move someplace warmer :)

Hey, that's a beauty! Welcome. Great color and you're going to love the way it doesn't show dirt hardly at all. I'm speaking from experience. :)

    Enjoy the car!

Does it sit any lower over the tires than a non-TE Prius?

I don't know the answer to that....I'm an absolute Prius newbie.

I first had an interest in buying a Prius when I started reading about the plug-in mods going on and that will be coming to the public in the next year. In my particular situation...I'm not sure that a plug-in would give me much better mileage as my driving is probably well over 90% highway use.

I really like the wood look in the dash and on the doors....it's classy looking...my picture doesn't really represent the real look, (too red in the pic). I think it's part of the package C option.

I'm still learning about Prius as I go. I think I'll go out to the garage and fiddle with it....lol.
