Would this work? My house came with a 240 plug outside for previous owners tesla. Replacing the plug with this one and already merged the female receptacle with the cord. I'm confused. You're taking a 240v outlet/wiring and attempting to adapt it to a 120v plug/system? Isn't the oem charger for a prime designed for a 120v outlet? If you are essentially taking each socket of the 120v plug and wiring it to each socket of a 240 volt plug, you're fabricating a 120v outlet that has 240 volts on it. You are going to smoke the heck out of anything you plug into it.. make sure your homeowners insurance is up to date.

Exactly - You have a 120V socket taped to a 240V source. Let us know how that works. We'd prefer to see a video of when you first use it.

That is why these code-nonconforming adapters are not commercially available, they must be hand made. But plenty of Prime owners here have found great success with them for recharging their Primes.
