What's the 4-bar +/- battery symbol above the Hybrid battery meter on the MSD? My Hybrid battery meter on the MSD works fine on my 2007, lighting up in different colors as the bars go up and down, but just above that is a smaller set of 4 bars with a tiny + sign on one side and - sign on the other. These 4 bars always remain black. Does this show the accessory battery? And does it only light up when there are problemes with it? Thanks!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(seakykr @ Oct 19 2006, 12:11 PM) </div> It's the "cap", "top", or whatever of the battery image. It's just a picture. It's supposed to give it a 3 dimensional look of a car battery. Imagine you are looking at a regular lead-acid car battery from one end. The white area with the colored bars is the end "side" of the battery. The black part above it is the top. The black part has some shadowing to give it a 3D appearance and some perspective. The "+" and "-" are the positive and negative posts of this visual representation of a battery. I imagine you see something similar to this...
Here's a picture of the battery. Does it look anything like this? Oh yeah. Stupid 2006/07 with your high-falootin' high-res screen. By comparison the '04/'05 looks like it was drawn in crayon.
Yup you're right. It's just a picture I guess. Just kinda confusing because the bars look just like the bars in the Hybrid Battery meter, ready to light up at any second. Now I know all is well though. Thanks! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Marlin @ Oct 19 2006, 10:26 AM) </div>
