Starlink seems to me like it has real potential. It’s something I thought about investing in when they have their IPO.

I’m thinking that my beloved company will be kinda glad to get out of the copper end of the biz. They seem to be evolving from Comms to Content. THAT having been said.... Broadband satellite internet startups like Starlink and Kuiper are sorta like the BEV biz. There are still some developmental and deployment issues to deal with, and the initial offerings will be kinda spendy, and limited to the early adopter set....with one notable exception: Starlink’s “Better Than Nothing” service.....which is exactly what it sounds like. The REAL challenge for dot.gov will be keeping legacy providers in the game once satellite broadband reaches a point where it makes financial sense for terrestrial providers to start dumping customers.... Managed poorly....that could result in some REAL problems.

AT&T is loosing its hat on “content and internet” services and DSL coverage for s actually worse today than it was in 2005 as companies are discontinuing DSL it’s currently trying to offload its satellite services and no one wants them. Oddly the copper side of its business is loosing the least money
Hey now, I have HughesNet at my retirement home (2 more years). I have no other choice available. It is terrible. I'm praying starlink comes online for my area ASAP.!!!! At my regular home, I have AT&T, it's almost as bad...again, no other option. Come on Starlink!
