Typically, 15 year old cars don't get real expensive repairs done to them...more likely they are kept running by getting used parts from other cars that were in partially damaging crashes. Probably not something that a high pressure hydrogen tank is a good candidate for. And besides, it takes many years of selling lots of near identical models to have a critical mass of old, used parts. Mike
I can’t say that it has been reported by any Mirai owners, as only a few cars at this point have over 100k miles. But the one that does have 180k miles says his car runs the same as day one, with only one repair of a wheel bearing. I’d say that‘s pretty awesome.
From an outsiders point of view, one with no skin in this game, this is a crazy thread. It seriously reminds me of the very small percentage of the population who spend a crazy amount of time and effort trying to force others to believe what they believe. Why waste your time? Go live your life with whatever car you want and stop wasting your and their time arguing about it. Jesus, man. Every other person in the forum doesn't have to agree with you. You and I and every other swinging dic* in this forum will be dust before hydrogen/fuel cells in automobiles becomes as popular and available as gasoline.
